The ups and downs of webinar marketing

Marketing Management for a Private School

I was approached by a private school to come on board for a period of 6 months to cover an absence in staff. As a consultant, I am quite happy to take on retainer work without writing a marketing plan and this was interesting to me as I had never worked with a private school before.

Struggling for students

After an initial meeting with the Headteacher and Bursar, it was clear that they were struggling to recruit new students at nursery to primary school level and they needed to increase their numbers quickly.

Updating their website

As part of the marketing going forward one of their main issues was that their website was out of date and very confusing to navigate. My first point of call was to talk to the design agency to get this updated and looking attractive to prospective parents as soon as possible. The competition in the area is fierce and the other private schools were showing them up.

Implementing campaigns

As well as this activity I was also asked to undertake a PPC campaign for the school, facebook advertising, as well as creating nursery and outreach marketing campaigns to draw in new students. The statistics were encouraging and they started to received a 20% increase in inquiries to the school after the campaigns started to run.
