Has your website reached its peak?

Has your website reached its peak?

Your website is an incredibly important part of your business. Used right, your business is going to see more enquiries, more traffic and hopefully more sales, all by having the very best one possible. You can have the very best digital marketing strategy, utilise social media marketing to the best of your ability, but without a good quality website, things are never going to work out.

So, if you are thinking about whether or not it is time to invest in a new or updated one for your business. Here are some of the things that you should perhaps be asking yourself.

How long ago did you last re-design your website?

If you cannot remember when you last took a look at the design, or it was more than 3 years ago. Things need to change. The world of website design moves pretty quickly and whilst 3 years may not seem like a long time in your life, in the world of website design that is a pretty long time. You may find that it doesn’t need a complete overhaul. However, it will definitely be a good idea to tweak some of the more outdated parts.

Is there a whole lot of stock imagery on your website?

Stock imagery was once a really great idea. It gave you the chance to use media without having to take the photos yourself. However, in these modern times, stock images have become a little tired. Everyone sees them on a regular basis on other websites, so they don’t give yours that personal touch. The vast majority of us have cameras on our smartphones. So, why not use this camera to create your very own pictures? This will really give your website a boost.

Is it mobile optimised?

The majority of us now rely on our mobiles for browsing, shopping and everything else in our lives. With this in mind, it really doesn’t make sense not to ensure that yours is mobile-optimised. Whilst potential customers may be happy to make an order on their laptops. The first visit to your website is going to be on a smartphone. Which means that if they cannot see it on their mobile, you may lose that customer.

How easy would people find it to contact you via your website?

It is likely to be a place that people go to when they want to get in touch with you. Which means, if it is hard to find your contact details or your contact form is difficult to use, you could be losing precious customers before you even knew that they were there.

So, as you can see, it is worthwhile looking at your website and checking whether or not it is everything that you need it to be. Especially when it comes to making sure that your business is the success that you want it to be.
