Let it flow – how a blog can benefit an accountancy firm’s marketing

Helen Cox Marketing Consultant London Kent UKMarketing accountancy firm’s can be tricky to master. However, it is something that you do need to try to learn how to do effectively. When you properly market yourself, you will be seen as a professional firm that offers a high level of service. You will also reach as many people as possible with your promotion.

There are several ways to try to market yourself; that said, one of the best ways to try and do this is with blogging. But why is this? What are the ways that a blog can benefit an accountancy firm?

It shows that you know what you are talking about with accountancy firm’s

When it comes to hiring an accountant, you will want to be able to trust that they can do what it is that they say they can do. This means that you will be on the hunt for someone knowledgeable.

By creating a blog post, you showcase your expertise and knowledge within your industry, which means that those potential clients will trust what you say and know that they are in safe hands with you.

It can be immediate

One of the best things about blogs is that they can capture industry news (or any other relevant information) there and then. Sure, you are not going to be able to put together a detailed guide with no notice, but you can put together a quick blog post that covers more of an overview of the situation and some expert opinion.

That way, if someone is searching for more information on the current affairs in the world, then they may come across your website, see that you are an expert in what it is that is changing and then come back to you for more advice or to pay out for your service.

You can showcase your accountancy firm’s niche

Whilst it is excellent to have broad expertise across accountancy as a whole, there will always be one area that you know better or that you have more experience in. This is your niche, and it makes you as a firm unique.

Having a blog means that you can write dedicated content that fits your niche. You can show prospective clients just what you can help them with and what sets you apart from the other firms out there.

You can answer questions

There is a good chance that you, as an accountant, get asked the same questions regularly. You can offer an answer to each person, of course, but what if you could take these questions and make them into something that everyone can read.

Blogs give you the chance to answer questions that come up about your firm or your service without you having to repeat yourself. It also means that your clients can find the information they are looking for without coming to you.

As you can see, there are so many reasons for you to get on board with blogging. It does take time, and it can be tricky to get right, but I promise you that your accountancy firm will see the benefit in no time at all, which makes the entire process a little bit more worthwhile doing.
