Legal marketing trends to focus on for 2020
So, 2019 is over and we have started a brand-new year. Not only is this a great chance to start thinking about all of our goals for the next 12 months, but it is also an excellent opportunity to start thinking about how we are going to get there.
Marketing isn’t easy for any industry to get right, however, when it comes to legal marketing things can get even trickier to manage.
With this in mind, I thought that it was the perfect time to take a look at some of the key marketing trends to focus on for 2020 when it comes to the legal industry.
Become a podcast pro
As humans we have developed a rather insatiable need to have our brains stimulated and with more and more people having to commute to and from work, podcasts have definitely seen a rise in their interest. A podcast is essentially a radio show, whereby you talk through or about a range of topics that relate to your particular industry. The great thing about podcasts for consumers is that they are easy to listen to. They can download to listen to whilst they are in bed, at work or perhaps even out for a run. As a firm, you need to make sure that you are getting to grips with podcasts.
Pay attention to area demographics
You may already know the basics of marketing, to ensure that you know your target audience, but you might not realise that it is deeper than just who you are trying to communicate with.
You also need to focus on a key area demographic too. Chances are that your clients are going to be within your own local area, which means that you need to do your best to focus on these people and ensure that they know more about the services that you can provide.
Never ignore email marketing trends
Email marketing may sound simple, but it is definitely one form of marketing that gets ignored. If this is true for you, then something needs to change. Email marketing can be incredibly easy to do, as well as being effective too. Which means that you need to get onboard this more old-school, but still modern way to market your law firm.
You just need to be able to know when the best time is to send emails, as well as how to put them together in order to make sure that they have the right impact.
You may already have plenty of goals in mind for 2020, but one that you absolutely need to add to the list is marketing. Without marketing you are never going to appeal to the right clients and make sure that you make all the sales that you are hoping for in order to be a success.
After all, clients don’t simply just appear out of thin air do they? It would be amazing if they did of course.
