Making the move to an Outsourced Marketing Director
Today I wanted to talk to you about my move into my outsource marketing director packages.
Missing marketing strategy
So I used to call myself an outsource marketing manager, and as much as I was happy with implementing other people’s marketing, what I found is I’ve really, really missed the strategic and marketing planning side of things.
Natural move to add Marketing Director to my list of services
I have a lot of experience in this area and I’ve decided to move over into the marketing director role rather than a marketing manager. I have been a marketing director for several my clients for a couple of years now. So, it just seems a natural transition.
What am I looking forward to, or not so much?
Well, I think for me, I’m very hands-on so I’m now going to have to be very comfortable with being uncertain and not trying to micromanage people. I’m also really excited about, um, I think recruiting people and training and working with a team.
Virtual Marketing Teams
And I’m also really excited about how I create virtual marketing teams for my clients, because we all work very virtually. Now I can see how it can work. I’ve got some really great experience about managing virtual teams and how do I create marketing teams for my clients that can be very cost efficient with me kind of delegating and heading it all up. I’ve got some really interesting ideas.
I’m very much looking forward to making that move back into a more strategic, and planning role. And yeah, I just wanted to kind of share that with you because I’m really excited.
