LinkedIn Newsletters
LinkedIn Newsletters
Hi everyone and welcome to my video series. Today I just wanted to do a short, sharp, quick video for you, about LinkedIn newsletters. I was talking to one of my contacts, her name is Anna Lake, and she works in client listening for professional services, we were having a one-to-one. We were talking about LinkedIn newsletters and she said that she’d had some great traction with it.
Email marketing newsletters vs LinkedIn Newsletters
Now I’ve been using one for my email marketing newsletter for about six years. I have about 158 people on it. To be fair, I don’t market it that regularly. It’s just as a sign up for my website if people want to do it. I don’t add people to it from networking. It’s only if you want to get it. So I thought, okay, look, I’ve been advising my clients on LinkedIn newsletters and Anna saying it’s worked really well for her. Let’s give it a go.
Subscriptions are higher on LinkedIn
I’ve been running them for about four months now, and I’m really, really excited by it. I have around 5,000 connections on LinkedIn and I have about 1,031 subscribers to my LinkedIn newsletter.
Not reinventing the wheel
I haven’t reinvented the wheel. My LinkedIn newsletter is pretty much my email marketing newsletter, which is a series of blogs with a bit of an introduction.
I’ve created my LinkedIn newsletter, sent that out to all my followers and they are then asked if they want to subscribe? People that want to receive it do and the people that don’t, will not receive an email at all.
Notifying those that sign up
But what it also does is it sends out a notification email to people’s inboxes that the newsletters out. So mine is called marketing b2b bytes and I’m just staggered about how many people have joined up to the newsletter list. Each month there is around 1,031 people on LinkedIn that get to see an amalgamation of my blogs
If you are a B2B business and you do run an email marketing newsletter, then might I suggest having a look at LinkedIn as well, a LinkedIn newsletter. It’s quite quick. You can replicate it and it might give you some more eyeballs on your content and you never know who’s watching and you never know who might turn into a client.
Anyway, I just wanted to share that tip with you. I hope you found it useful. If you do, please like and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
