Building relationships: New clients

Building relationships: New clients

Hi everyone and welcome to my video series today. I wanted to talk about my second video in the series around developing client relationships. New client relationships is the area that I wanted to talk to you about today. And I’m not going to lie. It’s very difficult to strike up conversations with new clients, and it really does take time, especially when it comes to professional services.

My first tip is really, you need to try to meet people, meet your new clients and go where they go. So I would think about what webinars they might attend, what exhibitions and conferences are they going to, what events are they going to and networking? You really want to try to meet them and engage in conversation with them. So that’s super important and getting FaceTime with your clients.

The second thing to think about is really to do with where else would they look for you?

So my easiest suggestion would be to make sure that your website is SEO, optimised. New clients could be looking for you right now, but may not find you because the keywords they’re searching for are not on their website. So have a think about what keywords you can integrate into your website that clients are using to find you.

My third tip would be to really think and write down a potential new client list of people that you’d like to work with

Whether that be a company or an actual name, get on LinkedIn and try to find who your ideal clients are and think about the best way to get in touch.

So there are a few tips that might help you think through how to develop relationships with new clients. If you like my videos, please like share and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
